At Precisive, we believe there are unmet needs in process automation applications. In particular, there is a lack of robust, industrial, real-time chemical sensors and monitors. The traditional method of product quality assurance has been manual collection of samples, which is then analyzed in the "industrial lab" to certify a product after the fact. The manufacturing process itself is operated in an "open loop" mode where no analytical information is obtained and used to control or monitor the process.
